WordPress Comment Notes Plugin — Private Notes, Hidden, Thread View

We manage sites that get thousands of comments a day.

Hundreds are from real readers that deserve a human decision.

We needed a way to keep important comments close, move distractions out of the way, and reply with confidence—without duct-taping or changing how WordPress works.

So we built the tool we kept wishing for. Now you can use it too.

  1. You’re in Comments like always, you spot a great comment to use as a base for an article. You click Notes, jot a private reminder, and it’s automatically bookmarked in the Noted tab.
  2. Need to postpone moderation decision—Hide the comment for now. Pick it up later in the Hidden tab. Nothing is deleted; the original status is preserved.
  3. Need context—click View Thread and see the comment parent + replies in one screen before you decide.
Comment note modal editor
  • It lives in the native WordPress Comments screen—no new system to learn.
  • Notes are private and act like bookmarks, so follow-ups don’t vanish.
  • Hidden is reversible, so you can tidy without risk. It also keeps your moderation queue clean from “don’t publish and don’t delete” items.
  • Thread view gives you tone and history in one click.

No custom tables. No front-end output.

All changes are reversible; everything’s stored as standard comment meta.

Free license with lifetime updates.

Built for in-house use, now released to the community.

Will visitors see my notes?

Never. Notes are private to users who can edit the comment.

If I hide a comment, is it gone?

No. It moves out of your main queue; unhide restores the original status.

Will this mess with my theme?

No. It’s admin-only and uses core WordPress styles and APIs.

Does it replace spam filters or AI?

No—it complements them. Automate the junk. Focus on what matters.

Comments do not have to be Messy

Bookmark what matters. Hide what can wait. Decide with full context.
